They are some of the hottest chefs (dot dot dot) in New York City, and will be well worthwhile to come hear what they have to say. To make it even more perfect, the program will be moderated by Julia Moskin of The NY Times!

The James Beard Foundation is a non-profit culinary organization based in NYC, which resides inside the late James Beard’s Greenwich Village brownstone. I have had the honor to photograph many of the weekly dinners hosted by the foundation– namely, all the talented chefs that come through and their wondrous creations. Proceeds from the dinners help aspiring chefs attend culinary school, among other things.

It’s only $10! Plus the proceeds go to Just Food, an organization I love.

Hungry Filmmakers Event
Tuesday, Dec 15 7:00p
at Jimmy’s No. 43
43 E. 7th Street, NYC

Hungry Filmmakers is a film screening event featuring the efforts of food-conscious filmmakers.

On December 15, excerpts of six documentary films that challenge the food system will be screened at Anthology Film Archives followed by a panel discussion moderated by Anna Lappe. An After Screening Party will be held at Jimmy’s No. 43, a bar and restaurant committed to supporting the arts and sustainable food communities. Hungry Filmmakers is curated by food writer Cathy Erway and filmmaker Shelley Rogers.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Just Food, an organization dedicated to improving access to fresh, seasonal, sustainable food for all New York City residents.
