Here’s something I think is totally random and kinda neat: a text to let you know what oysters are on the menu at Yankee Pier, a seafood restaurant in the Bay Area. I went for happy hour the other day, where they have $1 oysters and beers Monday through Fridays from 3-5pm, and picked up this card above.

Basically, you text into this number and they text you back what oysters are available that day. It’s totally superfluous and silly, but helpful for oyster nuts like myself. I tried it this morning and immediately got a text back. It really works!

I will try every day until I see some Totten Virginicas or Fanny Bays on the menu.
